 Ballarat Show exhibit. This year we were pretty disappointed. No horses, no dogs. The few sheep in the (very hot)pavilion did their best to keep turning their backs on me but after going around a few times this lot didn't bother anymore.

Very nice in-your-face portrait. It feels like this sheep has something important to express, but I can't really fathom it without anthropomorphizing and projecting my own feelings. Maybe it's the mutton factor. I like how the ear of the featured sheep occludes the eye of the next one behind, as if these aren't real living creatures but exploitable units. Okay, so I am projecting. The overall tones of sheep and hay are quite pleasing.

Wonderful texture. In a parallel existence I'm a hand spinner. I can almost feel and smell the lanolin in the fleece.
