I realize this will not be everyone's cup of tea, but from an objective view point, this represents the ultimate authority for a subset of the population. For others, as the title suggests, it holds no more meaning than a Harry Potter novel.
Technical details. Shot in manual mode on timer, darkened room, 3.2 second shutter. Midway through the exposure, shot a handheld flash, my old trusty Starblitz 3000BTS, and held a crucifix fashioned from two chopsticks halfway between the flash and subject to get the shadow.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your comments. I considered titleing this one without the disclaimer, and on retrospect, I agree that the disclaimer should have been left out.
This image works very well for me. The shadow of the cross falling across the book adds the final touch and allows you to place your focal point square in the center without it seeming to be. I like the angle of the light and how that also focuses the viewer on the Bible. Great shot. I wouldn't have weakened this powerful image with the qualifier in the title (for some). Let the image stand alone because it works so well. The qualifier makes your statement seem wishy-washy, and I don' t think that was your intention. With a religious or political statement, stand firm. Don't worry about being politically correct.
On the plus side, you've intelligently titled your work. It is important to remember this a multi-cultural site, with many different viewpoints. You have, which makes this shot more palatable to those diferent viewpoints. It is a little soft on the text, but not processed enough to give it a "surreal" feel, going sharper, or more processed would improve, I think. Compositionally, with the shadow, I lik it. On the whole, a pretty good piece.
the color and imagery work, especially the lighting. however, for the large percentage of people never exposed to this work (or not accepting of it), it might miss its mark. i also think this could benefit from a much sharper focus.
