Notes We've been having unseasonably good weather in Seattle - mid-80s, cloudless skies, no rain. Trouble is, when you photograph it, it looks like the absence of weather, and therefore would earn DNMC comments from Weather voters/commenters.
So, I drove to Mt. Rainier Thursday evening to shoot for the Weather challenge and found wildflowers. The forecast was "partly cloudy", which proved to be true at the 14,000 foot summit, but mostly cloudy at 6,400 elevation at Sunrise. I hiked around for a few hours in the fog shooting wild flowers and toward the end of that time, it began to clear.
I like this photo because because of the subject and the juxtaposition of focused and soft parts. Focus was devilishly challenging. Auto focus doesn't work very well on this subject and it was handheld so manual focus somewhat difficult. Just laziness on my part. I had a tripod back in the car ... too lazy to carry it and too far to return for it.
