What I find most unusual is how the brances are so unevenly distributed around the trunks. Are there strong prevailing winds in this area? Nice exposure, color, DOF.
think for the purposes of this challenge it might've behooved you to get right at the foot of one, make the angle as ridiculous as possible. not that this isn't a real nice shot, which it is. like the bonus shadows on the trunk. works real nice with the grain of the wood.
