Very much meets the challenge and rather disturbing given the subject matter is human slavery. That aside - the viewer is given and 'inside' look at the horror of being imprisoned. No freedom, we are boxed in. One hand reaches out to be free - reaching for the light that comes from three holes in the side panel. Darkness and light are features in this composition. The B&W is perfect for this photo because it highlights the play of light and dark both in theme and tone. Great lighting and details too.
