Ha! I love challenges that are this weird. Ha!

Mine is the first entry in! (Go, overachievers! Ha!)

But... Oh my Golly!

Painting my left foot was the EASY part! (And that was hard for me.)

Shooting it and making it interesting was the hardest part.

Also, there is SUCH a pretty pedicure under all of that paint. Dang it. :D

I tried so many different angles, positions, places... nothing seemed to work.

I tried "golf". I tried "carpet"... "with a dog paw"... on and on and on...

Finally I realized it needed more of a "story" than just a "scene"... So, I came up with a shoe shine.

I left everything set up in the dining room... and went in search of anything that shines shoes in our house.

We don't shine shoes here very much, apparently. *rolleyes*

Finally, I found a shoe shine bottle (in the laundry room cabinet, if you're curious) and went back with it to the dining room to continue.

I saw the scene there and said to myself, "Dang it!
Where'd I leave the shoe?"

Yes, I am that dumb.

I wish I could tilt that shoe shine bottle in the image (yes, I know you can't see the image I'm talking about... it's what I had entered before)... JUST a smidgen to the left so it's not so perpendicular. But, I'm tired. And the paint's not holding up well...

Give it up, Lydia. Just give it up.

Oh dang. I gave it up. I was going to bed and... I looked down at my foot on the bathroom rug.

"Brilliant!", says I!

It's not, of course... but here we are. I shot it with my cellphone after hauling my "real camera" and tripod from hither and yon to here and there so many times...

And I'm entering it.

*sigh*

I know... I know... There is NOTHING that ties the title to the image. I'm okay with it.

*sigh*

It might be the wine...?

This got an 8 from me. Would've been a 10 if you actually threaded real shoestrings through the foot. :P

The image was one of the few with some character, considering the subject, and I personally liked the paint job.
Perhaps it has to do with the topic - at least you came up with an idea.

Lydia, I hate to confess this...but I didn't vote. If I had you would have had at least another 8, maybe 9. But I failed to notice that roll over day had snuck up on me. I think you did a great job and your creativity deserved a higher reward.
