The strong colour contrast really makes the negative space - spaces - pop! Top few.

Beautiful bird. For whatever reason, on my screen it looks like the bird was cutout from a different background. Maybe the contrast in color/saturation? I'd also add a vignette or texture to make the negative space more interesting for this challenge..
