There's someone on the left who's leaning towards the dog, but it seems that this is about the dog and whoever's calling him or her from behind the fence. Or maybe I'm pushing my reading beyond the photographer's intention, and the dog is merely being called back by his or her owner. Anyway, it's the picture in the challenge that breaks my heart. There are several images that do a beautiful job of memorializing people, but this dog rushes at us like they do, full of love and eagerness. The title resonates deeply. The blur, the perspective and the action work harmoniously. Those of us who have or once had a dog....
One of two personal favorites of the challenge. |
