I wasn’t planning on this composition but the dogs woke me up very early to go out. I saw how clear the sky was and that I would get a good view of the setting moon. I jumped in the car and drove to a spot where I knew I could see the moon unobstructed as long as possible. I stopped along the way to get some practice shots. When I got to my spot and saw the farmhouse I knew I had to include it in the composition. I sat in the car taking pictures out of the open window as it was very cold here on the east coast as the moon set and the sun began to rise.
Ah! So you are asking how could I get such a clear shot of the super moon in the east. Those astrologists out there know it was highly unlikely due to the rising sun bleaching out the moon as it set and the curvature of the earth blocking vision. So, my friends, this is a fabrication of what I imagined the Super Blue Blood Moon would have looked like if I could have seen it in it’s entirety!
