A Great Blue Heron (Ardea Herodias) is sharpening it's beak on an available log in the early morning light on Luce Bayou in Huffman, Texas, USA.

I had a similar shot that took the Red in the Double Vision challenge. Hoping this one performs similar to the other one.

I am also about to order a print of this at 30x20 on metallic paper, can’t wait to get it back.........

Hello from the critique club

An appealing image that contributes to the open challenge well

Well done Ronnie, the HM reflects (excuse the pun) the quality of your lovely image. I love the subtle pastel shades in the background and reflections on the water, beautiful. You have these lovely shots well and truly nailed Ronnie, there's not a lot more I can add...

This is absolutely beautiful and received one of my top votes. The crispness, reflection, and composition were well done.

Perfect reflection. So hard to find the right subject at the moment when the water is completely still!
