Beautiful, moody image, but I can't see it as "abstract" in any meaningful way. Even in the pure sense of the word "abstraction" (reducing a thing to its basic elements) this doesn't work for the challenge, at least for me. But what a gorgeous shot. The metallic tone of the gondolas is sublime.
