This is our new beagle Daisy and Mr. Kitty. The cat always tries to dodge the camera but this time he looked at me for some reason. And it was perfect.
How I took it. I used my cell phone. Placed it against the door, camera side down. I need it to balance myself because I basically stepped back and leaned forward to get my feet out of the shot :)

I must admit I have a difficult time judging "pet" pictures.I will freely call it a prejudice. Normally when I see cat or dog I give it a 5 and move on. There is something about this image, however, that is appealing. It is not a portrait. It is a well seen and well balanced, interesting and artistic composition. Very well done.
