I think this would have been better if the all of the writting on the key was in focus.

The focus here seems neither "here nor there". For me, it needs to be either on the key (preferable) or the curlky ring thing (in it's entirety, meaning a change of aperture I guess.) Contrast and brightness good though. Composition, interesting. so easy to critique another person's work! I seldom do better myself, don't worry!
