I spent my lunch break walking (stalking!) around old Spitalfields Market in East London. I was looking for someone who matched the feeling of the song 'A Face in the Crowd'...
Ideally I would have used a model, perhaps holding a Tom Petty Album by one of the used record stalls with crowds moving around her... but time was not on my side. I hope you enjoy this candid shot grabbed of a stranger during my break.
Before all of this ever went down
In another place, another town
You were just a face in the crowd
You were just a face in the crowd
Out in the street walking around
A face in the crowd
Out of a dream, out of the sky
Into my heart, into my life
And you were just a face in the crowd
You were just a face in the crowd
Out in the street, thinking out loud
A face in the crowd
Out of a dream, out of the sky
Into my heart, into my life
And you were just a face in the crowd
You were just a face in the crowd
Out in the street, walking around
A face in the crowd
Face in the crowd
A face in the crowd
A face in the crowd

This has grown on me. I should have rated it higher in hindsight and had I got a chance to reappraise before voting ended I would have . Apologies. It's great subject isolation and B&W suits the image well.
