if you get close enough, anything can disappear. the photographer is the blind man with an elephant. what remains after the elephant is the image, something pure, or at least, something else.

Beautiful image, beautiful processing, beautifully tender. A garden of tone and emotion.
Can't help but evoke elephants' horrible slaughter in pursuit of these very tusks for art, trinkets and oriental potions. Sorry to yoke these two sentences together when what I really want to do is celebrate this image and this particular elephant.
By far my favorite image in this challenge.
