Thought this might be yours, Paul. I have no problem with the trees. They are iconic in LA and work well for me as part of the tableau and sense of place. This was one of my two top scores.

What a crazy shot, exactly where I am right now with shadows/highlights. Excellent in B&W (I know it was an obvious choice).
The swirl carries me through this wonderland of contrast and shapes, the closed eyelashes, the twin trees (by the way my nit-pick is here... please get rid of that thing left side of the tree, pretty please).. regardless of that obstacle spoiling my journey through the total whiteness this is worthy of my top pick. 10
