Wow - what a spectrum of comments! it was a very iffy submission....so I guess I should have expedted both sides. I agree that the DOF is too narrow - there really is just a sliver that's in perfect focus...and while I would love to blame it on the equipment, we were really just dealing with bad lighting - opened the aperture almost all the way just to be able to get the shot. I hadn't planned to retake it, but all the positive comments may inspire me to!
Nearly a brilliant ad shot and one I would certainly have put in the "next round" pile but to be used commercially it would need a much longer depth of field. It may be that you not have the equipment to achieve that, in which case exellent on what you did achieve.

Way too soft short DOF, I am trying but I can´t see one spot that is totally in focus. When doing macro you got to be careful because the Depth Of Field is much shorter than normal so try using a very small aperature to get more of the shot in focus. Nice effort though and good idea but unfortunately I think this will be low.
