 Bunch of colored toothpicks in my favorite photo crutch: a blue Champagne glass. Used halogen lamp with umbrella reflector, and toothpicks pushed down around the edges to make the center stay up. Little PS and noise ware to reduce some grainy background.

The blue background with the reflection is nice, texture of the different size and share of the sticks makes it work it does look like fireworks...bumping to a 9

Definately colorful. I appreciate your attempt to be original and make this 'burst'. Different. Lighting appears to be good, gets a little dark in the lower right hand corner. Focus is good. I wonder though if you could have placed the subject somewhere other than directly in the center of the photo. Put a little angle on it, could boost the visual appeal some. ~Heather~
