Challenge: Night Sky III (Standard Editing)
Camera: Fujifilm X-T2
Location: Broadhaven Beach, Wales
Date: May 24, 2017
Aperture: 1.4
ISO: 3200
Shutter: 20
Date Uploaded: May 27, 2017

I took this shot at around Midnight on Broadhaven Beach in Wales.

The area is designated 'Dark Sky' and the display of stars was amazing. This was Fuji Velvia JPG taken on a Fuji 16mm Prime @ f1.4 - With ISO set to 3200 I was able to keep the shutter at 20 seconds to avoid too much blur in the stars...

Thanks all for the votes. Slightly kicking myself after reading the Standard editing rule-set a number of times it was not obvious that any post-processing was allowed (other than crop, rotate and dust spot and minor cloning)

This entry is therefore pretty much straight from camera and would have benefitted from some adjustments to bring out the detail in the Milky Way... which is a little faint in the bright late evening sky.

I wrote a brief article on my blog where I have shown some shots from this evening.

I find this photo very appealing. I like that you can didn't expose for so long I that the ripples got lost on the water Best of luck. Top three for sure.
