Spectacular duck, but the photograph is perhaps sleeping along with him. I don't mean that to be as insulting as it may sound; I mean that (for me ... and for everyone who's even slightly curious, I suppose) a worthy portrait should reveal something unexpected or intimate about the subject. I think that's why you rarely see a portrait of a human subject depicted sleeping; it's excessively passive and uninformative. But the technical quality of the photography is excellent. Thank you. |
