These flowers were arranged in water, then frozen into a block of ice. The block was held up vertically with natural light coming through the back and a flash firing in the front.
Processing done in LR, PScc, and NIK to whiten the ice to make the flowers look as if they were deconstructed. The balance of processing was relatively routine. Cropped to a square format to balance the display and avoid unrelated objects at the edges of the original photograph.
