That is one GREAT picture. I have had 3 dachshunds in my lifetime and they are so full of expressions. You have captured a beauty!

You and BradP are going to force me to keep a generic congratulations note handy for copy and pasting: "Congrats on yet another incredible photo of ______. Keep up the great work, but take a vacation once in a while to give the mere mortals a chance." ;-)

"There is only 1 dog- dachies" - Ditto that comment. I have 4. Very cute shot!
Post actions
There is only 1 dog- dachies - unbelievable shot. Unfortunately we can't have pets in our rented house at present so we will have to enjoy photographs of dachsunds instead! Wonderful work, Max

Congrats John ~ Your little dog Dash has quite the mischevious air about him!

I'm not much of an animal person, I must admit, but this is cute. I think the big head small body look works really well. Congrats on yer another ribbon.

If this don't ribon, I'll eat my hat!

How can we argue with those eyes!? Beautifully captured expression. The dog is really "communicating" with the camera. Negative space and cropping is perfect for this shot imo. Focus on eyes rather than nose well executed. 9. :)
Post actions
Simply wonderful. I absolutely love the expression on her face. Framed perfectly. 10 in my book.
Post actions
Yup - this is the kind of calendar shot that typifies the genre. Not my kind of calendar, mind!
Post actions
Perfect pose, a well trained dog. Good focussing, I can almose see your reflection in the eyes. Wonderful lighting, lovely colour, a six from me.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this ribbon. It isn't just another dog/pet shot by a long shot! I just love the angle and perspective giving him his wonderfully soulful appearance. Perfection in a studio shot.
Post actions
Aha? how is this any different from... lets say... September Dachshund? The title says a month name, but the picture doesnt. Otherways a verry good shot.

Funny, lovely, cheerful. What else can I say. Fantastic shot. 10+

Great portrait of the dog!
Post actions
Perfect focus and color. Having the white background really brings out the dog. And having his body back behind just emphasizes his size and shape. Also the lighting is excellent. One of my top picks.
Post actions
this is a great dog shot, I love the whiskers and the eyes. Very cute.
Post actions
I'd buy this calendar! What a cutie!

Awwww. .. . I love him/her!! Dachsund's are the MOST loveable precious dogs! I could definitely see this on a dog calendar.
Post actions
Also a typical and high-quality calendar image. So 10 for the challenge, but i wouldn't buy the calendar personally.

What was that rule again? Vote all pet photo's down except if they are exceptional?
