My first entry in a while. Looking at some of the recent challenges, looks like I missed out on some good ones. Likely I won't get back to full swing, and rather just enter when it seems fitting.
This was taken during a recent beautiful snowfall. Fluffy little snowflakes were falling fast. I pulled out various materials for them to fall on. This one was a shiny blue Christmas gift bag. I like the blue.
But what I couldn't believe upon getting the shot was the well defined snowflake shadow. the light here was just the ambient cloud cover light. But the shiny bag does interesting things with that light close up.
This was shot with my Olympus in microscope mode. I can get so much closer than even a 100mm macro lens with full set of extension tubes. Sure, it's not as high of quality, but it's so close!
