What a beautifully color of a rose. I really like the focus on this. The cropping stinks in my opinion. This is much too beautiful of a rose to crop any of it off. But this is my opinion, and probably the only one that feels this way. Personally I would love to see this cropped very tightly, but with all of the rose included. Still a beautiful rose.
I like the crop/composition. Good placement of the rose center. I like that the outer edges of the shot are out of focus, but I think that the center of the rose should be a bit sharper. Nice even lighting.
how odd is it that I got your photo RIGHT before the other peach rose... this is what I wrote them "
a perfect example of how focus/cropping can make a picture amazing... take yours, looks great, but the photo I JUST voted on is the same peach rose, cropped way in and VERY creative... there is a huge diffrence in "snapshot" as yours almost posseses and one of "art" which the previous photo epitomizes... "
This is one of my favorite flower shots this week (which is quite something given the multitudes) The macro was a good choice and the DOF is right on. You could, of course, have made this any color of rose that you wanted, but I like the choice, and the name Orange Sherbert. Excellent work.
The focus looks a bit too soft for my taste. The color is nice and I like the lines and composition. I just wish the soft focus effect wasn’t quite as strong.
