In Alaska. Taken after we left Petersburg en route to a day of watching whales and other wildlife, day 3 of a magnificent trip on a small boat with just 41 other passengers starting st Juneau and ending at Sitka. A trip of a lifetime.

What makes this so pleasing to me is all the different levels and layers. I even like the pink overtones! Best part, though, is the trail through the water.
This is a great image - love the subdued coloration, but the overall impact is intriguing and allows you time to look at all the subtle detail and depth of field. A very worthy challenge entry.
