I returned to Kuwait with the hope to at least get one more shot in for showing and this was my idea from the get go. It was darker than I wanted so I popped the flash to get the detail I needed.

Interesting idea. I like the silhouette of the far end of the gun, though the lighting on the near end and bullets might look a little better if it was more diffused.
The foreground is sharpened too much. I think you shouldn't have used direct flash. Perhaps a longer exposure time would have made the picture more harmonic. The bright spots (mainly on the bullets) are somewhat annoying. But the idea is nice.
While I do like this shot. It has great contrast with the brass on black. I like the DOF and the color. I just don't feel it is a macro. Perhaps a hero shot. But Just can't see it aa a macro.
This picture has some good elements (sunset, scope against the sky), but I think it would do better in a different category. While close to the 1:1 scale of macro photography, you could still get even closer (maybe just the bullets).
This is an attention getter! Finally a shot that isn't an eye or watch! Great DOF and focus. The gold tones really pop out at you. Well done and God bless you. 10
