I spent ages driving around South Manchester trying to find somewhere with something interesting to set my photo against and where I could get a clear shot. I found myself at a playing field just as the sun was disappearing and glowing these bright hot colours. There was a selection of things on the horizon but I chose to keep it simple with the trees and the telephone mast, just to give something to break up the photo a little but not distract from the sunset itself.
I adjusted the curves to bring out the fieriness of the sun and the glow of the clouds. I didn't do a whole lot else, I sharpened it a bit but it didn't seem to do a lot.
