I certainly utilized the new rule set for this one. These were truly snap shots and i can't remember if I was thinking of this challenge or not.
It was raining by the pond and not quite warm enough for adults to enjoy - but the kids were fine.
Anyway, I removed 2 people from this shot (and attempted to conceal their reflections). I figured if there was ever going to be a challenge where this would be ok, it would be one where i would apply brush strokes.
Used "angled strokes" with my image at the large size and at the cropped down size and played with those layers' opacities in an attempt to make it seem like a painting.
I had difficulty trying to come up with the tones and hues that I found acceptable so I used Nik Analog effects and played around until it made it look a little more sloppy so to speak. I also did a bit of the Orton effect to get it to seem a little dreamier like a Manet painting. The water was dyed green so I also needed to adjust the color of that to look more natural - or at least as the eye would accept it in a painting.
Anyhow, not completely waht I was looking for - but heck, just a snap-shot LOL
