 I FOUND THIS STRANGE LITTLE BUG ON A PINE CONE IN MY YARD.I TOOK HIS PICTURES IN SUPPER MACRO.

looks like the focus is just below the bug or the very top of the bug is starting to get out of focus. I am sure you are aware but do you think that the ideal shot would have the dof include the whole bug? Other than that great shot and nice title.

Interesting bug. Maybe a tighter crop would help avoid the distraction of the blown out bg...?

I think you took a good micro image but imo I don’t see anything bizarre or amazing. I don’t feel as if it meets the challenge. As for your photo, lighting is good along with the focus on your subject. The background is a bit distracting. If this picture were placed in a micro challenge I believe it would of done better.

Odd loioking creature, and an odd looking pinecone? Any it is good, I like the texture of the bug, but theres isn't much interest here for me. 5
