i would be pretty upset if my photo scored lower than this and got the brown.

Outstanding! Such creativity. Well think of it like this- most geniousis where underrated while lived. There is nothing to criticise about the shot :) But the whole message conveyed is amazing. No shot in this challange in my opinion was so strong! Good luck next time and don't worry. People can't appreciate what's good.

I gave it a 5.. simply because it's the exact same as every other pure black photo I've seen on DPC, making it average ;)

I would have scored it high but it was out of focus! 1Message edited by author 2004-11-09 04:15:18.

Haha, you cheat! I like the comedy in it but an all blank photo just can't score highly in my book.

yes .. erm..................... n... no

I would reward you for creativity if the decision was tough or forgive you if the topic were something like "darkness" or "black". Not a big fan of this.

a digital retake of the classic black square ?

Interesting idea but do you really expect a blank image to do well?

Hilarious..........but really!! Hahahaha....

Great composition and colours. Very sharp focus....

it might be a good idea...

This was a humorous idea! However, without the caption there is really nothing to rate this picture on. Sorry

well we obviously see you have resolved your indecision, and opted to leave it on.

Nice idea. I fear doomed to a low score :-)

good idea but the shot lacks a little somthing i can't put my finger on it. I do like how you captured the essence of the lens cap though how long did it take to set this shot up 8 from me the mind of a true genius hard at work Bravo Bravo

Not a lot of contrast. Lighting isn't so good. Focus is a bit soft. I'd be tempted to crop a little of the dark area on the left. But, I'll give you an 8 for a very creative idea!
