Disqualification Details
The outgoing Advanced editing rules do not allow for this sort of 'unbounded' arbitrary desaturation/filter application - it counts as the creation of a new image area and falls foul of the following rule: "You may not: use ANY editing technique to create new image area" If you do selectively desaturate (or apply an art filter) you have to ensure the area you apply the effect to is already defined within the image - i.e. within natural boundaries/edges/interfaces within the scene. This has been a controversial rule to enforce over the years, but there are clear precedents for a DQ - including to current Site Council. You will note that this rule doesn't appear in the new Standard Editing rule set - it's one of the things we wanted to clear up as it trips people up from time to time. Unfortunately this was submitted under 'Advanced' and so must be DQ'd.

I can't believe this is this far down the scoring line.

I gave it a 7. *sigh*

I am puzzled/intrigued by the processing, but for sure I like your horse.

I love the processing on this and would score it higher in a challenge that was more processing focused than a wide angle challenge. I'd give this a 7 or more in expert but I want to knock it as a wide angle shot. My inability to decide has me casting no vote at all (which only does a nicely processed photo a favor here). But I do really like it. PM me if I've confused or annoyed you - that's not my intent.

I generally to not like a lot of processing but your image is unique and creative. Great job.

I'm not sure whether this fits the rules of the challenge but I really like the image and how the PP makes it come alive.
