I really like the lantern's glow and the ink monkey. IMO this would have been more interesting without the little plastic toy and a more artful composition/arrangement maybe? I'm still on the line about a different DOF. This still life is due some more experimentation. I'm going to bump to a 6 from a 4.
Monkey see monkey do. I quite like the inked monkey.
I dont' like the setup of the image all that much. It's a little too... staged for me. I don't really get the sense of what a year of the monkey means to you.
