I like the idea of the feather but i think you took to many frames and did not keep the axis level as you took them causing things to be out of focus and out of alignment after stitching them together. I think the color cast on the bottom of the feather is a little distracting also.

You could have very easily cropped the top portion, and cloned the bottom portion to fill in. Or take some more shots to stitch.
