I was going to submit a lightning photo I took for this "Bizarre Nature" challenge, but then I saw this Japanese radish and thought it was too funny. I put it on an animation lightbox and used a macro lens to get this shot.

This really should've been rated higher. If I'd voted on this challenge I would've definitely given this photo at least an 8. I keep running across it randomly and it always makes me look twice :) Good shock value!
Weird and kind of disturbing - matches the challenge well, though... The main focus being in the center and the ends being blurry is a bit distracting.
