Cool! You did really well to set this up. The rotational symmetry of the piece is a little too static and formal for me, but I appreciate that technically it is a very good photo.
don't know how you did this.... get an admin note this looks like 2 VERY different pictures... you can tell by the brigtness of the left matchbox, and the right matchbox, also the light source seems to come from "behind" the left candel, but it seeams the ONLY light source in the right is the candle because of the shadow on the matchbox, even though it is EXACTLY in the same position as the candle in the left image.....
not a bad trick... good idea and composition. I like how you made the birghtness and contrast look different on each side... hopefully it was legal :o)
Before giving you a vote, i'd like to know how you did this. The lighting is very different on the two sides of the photo...making it look like a comp of two photos...please PM me...for now I'll leave it at a 10 :)
challenge met. very innovative!! i'm trying to figure out how you did this, whether you took one photo and printed it and put it next to the next setup or what your method of separating the light between the two halves was. i like that your shot is somewhat symmetrical but not just identical. The matchbox makes me believe you are german speaking ... i'm wondering whether you are elgomin. in any case, who ever you are ... i have nothing to add that i would've done differently. this is definitely one of my favorite entries this week :)
I like this shot with the two different lighting conditions. I am however interested in knowing how you got the two different lighting conditions side by side like this.
