The picture's OK, but the girl doesn't look very happy at all. Is that what the festival is about? Pouting? Technically a decent picture but the subject isn't cooperating.
It doesn't look like your model is resonating with the face painting! Great capture of that emotion. This is a perfect example of the expression, "If looks could kill ..." Maybe I'm misinterpreting. I have a friend who would say from time to time, "I sometimes have to remind my face I'm having a good time." Maybe that's all that's going on here. Still, nice emotive capture.
nice picture, great expression but in my opinion it seems to be missing something - perhaps it would be better with a telephone pole somewhere in the upper-right area of the photo ;)
My first thought was "oh my god what's happened to that kid's hand?" before I realised it must be someone else's. I think this isn't perhaps the best time to take a picture of this cutey at her best - the sunburn pink doesn't do anything for her and her expression is no doubt one of concentration and staying still to be painted but I bet she looks more beautiful when she's smiling. The red material and uneven background doesn't add anything either. Not an instrically bad picture but one that likely holds more interest for those who know her than for strangers.
