What a wonderful scene. This picture makes me want to visit this place some day. I love the autumn colors. The "softness" of the photo makes it interesting. I keep wondering what it might look like if it were sharp instead of soft, but that's another photo. :-) Great image. Good luck in the challenge!
5. This looks like a regular snapshot. I would have loved to see you get close to that telescope and take some funky pics with a focus on the cool sky happening on the upper tight. As is, there really isn't anything holding my attention and the colors themselves are a bit flat. Some levels/curves work could improve that.
