Congratulations on the blue. This is a well known scene here in Taiwan, too. Kids sometimes to 2am doing their homework in night markets (where their parents have a stall and work till late at night)
What a happy coincidence that I should be in Hong Kong in two weeks, and should be able to meet you and hand you the book (and thereby save on postage, too! :))!
How cool is that!!!! Hand delivery would make it all the more special!

One of my top picks. Shows the story of two generations doing what they need to do; mom working, daughter working on homework. At least thats the story I read into it.
this is wonderful, light composition, characters, everything is there (even a dog!) for a great street photo. I suspect that one of my books will have to be shipped to Asia (I am guessing Taiwan or Hong Kong :))
you get a big bump and my "blue virtual book award"
Connie revealed a determination not often seen in girls of her age. She would re-write the answers again and again until she was satisfied they could be improved no more.
Doing homework on a desk at night out on the city sidewalk is an unusual sight, but given the sign nearby I am guessing this is a tutoring business mayhap? It is an interesting moment to capture showing this young girl doing homework with an older woman sitting by her side to assist with any questions. A desk lamp sits nearby to provide the needed light to illuminate the books and I love how the little dog sitting under the table is keeping watch out for any people who would pass by disturbing the concentration of the student studying. Great capture and love the B&W processing with wonderful tonal range that really sets off all the details in this shot.
