The bears are back (somewhere in Larimer County). This is my first sighting of this momma and cub this year. They are a cinammon shade, but are black bears. They look very healthy and happy. This is a first year cub, who obeyed momma bear and stayed high in the tree. In about a month, or so, they will go into hibernation together for the cub's second winter. The cub will be weaned in the summer of 2016, in his second year. Canon 5Dmk3, Canon EF400mm f/5.6L, f/6.3, 1/125s, ISO 1600, lens focal length 400mm., tripod mount. 10/08/15 5:29 PM MDT.
