Can't explain why this image strikes me a surreal, but it does. There is no shock of dissonance or confounding juxtaposition. Maybe it's the tipped over leaves that seem like people, animals, aliens. Maybe it's the persistent sameness of color, or being smack dab in the midst of the crowd. However, I'm impressed by the inventive vision of the photographer.
