This is a setup shot from last month's Golden Hour challenge taken as I waited for things to get 'golden'. But they never did - the sun was blocked by hills and trees and I had to move along to chase the light. Looking through the images later on I figured I would try something out of my comfort zone and edit in low key - glad I gave it a whirl!

Coming back to comment...What draws me to this is the calmness, the quiet. I've walked around in early morning misty meadows and I think that may be one of my favorite things to do. I find the composition appealing also, almost centered but not quite...it just works. This is one of those photographs I wish I could walk into.
A tour de force of day's beginning. As such, the centralized tree and structure - though each is subtly off-center - is admirably placed. The purples and blues are a marvel, a joy. The low-lying fog completes the embrace.
