An appealing image that is assumed to meet the challenge.
An interesting landscape of this unusual rock formation, the colours are rich throughout and composition is generally quite good. At the left you have some quite intriguing background features that I think should either have been excluded or better still made a more significant part of the overall composition. I do like the skies there are some lovely cloud formations and colours. There is good detail throughout, as you say, helped by the overcast lighting.
