We were at friends' house on Cape Cod and all day it was gray and hazy. Suddenly 20 minutes before the sunset the narrow strip of sky right above horizon cleared up and became the most intense orange I've ever seen. It did look like gold...
Was ready to submit the photo almost as is

when remembered to try the texture (thank you again, Wendy, for the beautiful Skeletalmess).
