Our poor kayaks. We took them out a numbers of times each year until this year. So far this summer this is where they wait. Our garage is a chaotic disaster, but our basement got a few tiny drips of water two years ago so we rationally decided to put drain tile into the whole basement. (Total overkill in retrospect). And during the repair all of the basement junk got moved to the garage TWO YEARS AGO. Normal people would have manage to have the job done by now, but we've only got it half done. Although I partially blame the city who decided we have to put an egress window in the basement despite us having four bedrooms on other levels so I can't see where it's reasonable for the city to say the basement needs to be available as a bedroom. Argh. My husband was going to do all the work but an egress window is beyond us and workers for small construction jobs are proving impossible to find in our tiny town.
Ah, my life. Thank goodness for a great hobby.
