Photogrpher’s Notes Busted, you’ve seen this subject from me before in different challenges. Decided right away I wanted to shoot it again for this one. It’s the Amgen Bridge on Seattle’s industrial waterfront.
Went there after work Friday and shot it. Then drove 2 hours, 9.1 miles, home in the worst rush hour I’ve ever experienced. When I got home, I discovered I’d mis-set my camera and all I had on the card was RAW images. Shit! Shit!! Shit!!! Stupid.
I briefly considered doing a ‘minimal edit’ using the RAW image thinking it was unlikely to make it to the top five and proof would be unlikely to be requested. But I didn’t, just in case.
Drove back again in today’s 90-degree heat (unusual for Seattle, even in Summer), verified my settings, and reshot it. Back home, same route but without rush hour traffic, this time taking only about 20 minutes.
Pulled it off the camera and stuck it here.

Aren't you glad you reshot it in JPEG? I knew this would do well because it fit the topic so nicely, and was a technically great shot. Congrats on the top 10 photo!
An excellent entry fully deserving of the appreciative score and comments that meets the challenge very well.
I'm sorry the image caused you so much hassle but it was well worth all the effort. It's difficult to conceive of a more suitable entry especially at the angle you have chosen too. It makes for fascinating viewing with so much detail to absorb.
Technically it has been very well executed with good DOF and sharpness throughout. What would have been a horrible bland and boring sky is working to your advantage in its uniformity.
The only thing that has been confusing me is the distant horizon through the bridge supports, I assumed it was the ocean but there appears to be a significant dip which looked most odd but when I look at the same horizon outside the bridge the small section there looks lower so I assume its not water but land which would answer my original confusion.
