Took a shot of my husband facing a bright window. Cropped it to one eye, then made the window reflection a bit better. Added the sky clouds through my textured flood fill on paint shop pro, and an extra border to emphasize the window theme and to clarify the sky/clouds fill.

Interesting concept. Since you were using an image editor, I think you prolly should have blurred out or painted out the distracting area around the eye - ie the skin texture, brow texture, etc. Fill the frame with just the eye. Then you would have a smoother surface to not compete so much with your cloud texture. You could have had the clouds at full strenth around the eye and decreased their opacity over the eye itself.
Very creative with the post editing and thinking outside the box. Although the eye has been used so many times in so many themes that I'm getting burned out with this basic shot. Sorry, JG
I am not a fan of "eye" closeups at all; however, the softening of the shot, along with the "window" in the eye make this one tolerable. I don't like the extension of the cloud treatment to the border, I think that a solid border would have been more effective.
The cloud effect on this pic isn't doing it any favors unless it's covering something up. The concept is good, the photography is okay as far as I can see. The clouds don't do it for me though. - Inspzil
