For the record, I have low expectations for voting on this.

I like it, but I like it because it reminds me of a motorcycle trip with friends. Since you, dear voter, didn’t ride with us, you dear voter won’t be drawn to this.

You will see it as a ‘meh’ photo.

And you will vote it low.

And since most of you will vote it low, few, if any of you will see these notes.

Reminds me of a movie I watched recently and didn’t especially like, Live Die Repeat.

It’s just possible some hapless soul on the critique club will draw this image and, just maybe, they will appreciate how the composition embodies the Rule of Thirds in action!

Post Processing
Not much … convert from RAW; A little filter work in OnOne Perfect Effects; crop and resize per DPC standards; sharpen and mask the sharpening effect; save for web.

Hello from the critique club....

I see that sidpixel already gave you a critique. However commenting from the critique club (I was the lucky one to draw your shot) I will put my two cents in.

I can see why it didn't do well in voting. But you were expecting that. A shot like this would appeal to a small percentage of DPC voters. I personally think that it tells a story. Anyway I do like your shot for what it is and I am glad that you took this shot for you. Even though you knew in your heart that it would not be perceived well with the DPC community. Happy shooting.

I would be happy to draw and comment on this through the critique club if given it, so I will comment on it anyway, hope you don't mind.

The foreground bike is obviously the one you have selected for the thirds with its windshield nicely placed on the hotspot. There is deliberate over exposure hence the title, most of us will avoid it like the plague but it is very effective here in helping to emphasise the foreground. You also have some blocking in the shadows which again might be deliberate in blending two extremes together?

I commend you for having the courage of your convictions, the image has a special appeal to you and you correctly anticipated a low score but stood by your choice, well done.
