A fresh coat of paint and some trimming could spruce this place right up. Time has yet to exert its ravages. There's a feeling of cheerfulness here that is rather inviting.
The framing by the porch pillar and the tree coupled with the line of the step railing encourage the eye right up to the door. Very effective composition. The overgrown bramble, the chipped paint and loss of one light all lend to the story. Nicely executed. Good luck.
