I think your composition was okay here, but in my opinion, the overprocessing of the image is so extreme that it looks artificial and somewhat overcompensated for lack of composition.

Hmmm the fall colors are nice but the white road is totally distracting. Maybe you are making a statement here? But it doesn't do it for me.
