It was quite a surprise to me that every friend who I asked if they had "a life-sized eyeball... preferably fake" did not have one. What's up with THAT?!
And... only one asked me why I wanted it. What's up with THAT?! And that was... after answering the question. That would have been my FIRST thought... "WHY does she ask me this?"
I have really weird friends.
So, I painted a Ping Pong ball. Yeah... I know it's not a professional paint job... but... I'm not a professional painter. :D
I just hope that people know that it's an eyeball in a baseball glove without the title.
That would make my day.
I once watched a fascinating Television show about artists who make fake eyeballs for real humans to wear. It was AMAZING!
They painted the iris and such... and then... put little, red... very fine threads in with tweezers for the veins. Amazing!
Then they glossed it all over with some sort of something to make it look wet.
I used clear nail polish on my ping pong ball... I wish I'd been smart enough to figure out that that polish would create its own highlights. I wouldn't have painted any in.
Now it looks a bit garish to me. But, not enough to start all over with a new ping pong ball. I'm assuming everyone will know that this is not a real eyeball in a baseball glove.
:D I just hope it's real... enough.
